Active Holidays in Winter

The Bavarian Forest covered in a blanket of snow is simply enchanting!
Snow covered forests, velvety meadows and sparkling mountains are the ideal basis for all types of winter holidays – cross country skiing, alpine skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, snow and snow shoe walking.
Winter Sports
Simply enjoy the peace and quiet or experience the picture book scenery actively through winter sports. Everyone can find something to suit: cross country skiers find perfectly prepared trails, alpine skiers and snowboarders find wonderful pistes from blue for beginners to black for experts. Adults can relive their childhood on kilometres of toboggan runs! Frozen lakes and indoor ice rinks await skaters and guests can even try out traditional curling.

There are romantic long walks on foot or with snow shoes and enchanting torch or lantern-lit walks. The horse drawn sledges are particularly comfortable. And at the end of the day, supper by the warm stove of an inn or mulled wine in a ski hut taste especially good!
The latest snow report, the opening hours of the lifts, the addresses of the ski schools, the ski rental stations and the programme of events are all available from the local tourist information offices.
