Glass Museum
Do you know who invented glass? Do you know what glass is made of and that baroque princes had different things made out of it than medieval churchmen? The Glass Museum in Frauenau, opened in 2005, invites you to take a journey through time and through the social history of the glass works. Art fans will find a valuable collection of art glass and architecture fans will be impressed by the elegant design of the circular building, to which many regional glass artists contributed. The integral National Park Information Office will give you information about the natural world of the remote Bavarian Forest-Moors and the old high meadows, on which the foresters used to graze their cattle.
