Anyone who wants a breath of city air occasionally can make a day trip to our neighbouring regions. Medieval towns like Regensburg with its imposing cathedral and stone bridge are easy to reach. Also Passau, the „Venice of Bavaria“ with its picturesque location at the confluence of 3 rivers.
The neighbouring countries of Austria and Czech Republic are definitely worth a visit. Linz or Vienna or the Golden City of Prague. Our special tip is the beautiful Bohemian town of Cesky Krumlov. You can get to most places without a car: in most places in the National Park Region there are bus companies offering interesting day trips. There are special bus trips to the Bohemian Forest and it is possible to take boat trips on the Danube from Passau to Linz or Vienna.
